Bra Size Chart
A bra size chart pairs your underbust (the band) with your bust measurement. Find your band in the first column, then the bust measurement closest to yours: each inch (2.5 cm) over the band is one cup letter. 34 band with a 37 inch bust is 34C. The charts below give both inches and centimetres.
Or calculate it from your measurements
The calculator needs JavaScript. Without it, use the steps and the size chart below: measure your snug underbust and your bust in inches, round the underbust to the nearest even number for the band, and count one cup letter per inch of difference.
Calculated in your browser. Your last measurements are kept only on this device until you press Clear.
Your starting size

Sizes vary between brands and styles. Use this as a starting point and try bras on: the band should sit level and feel firm on the loosest hook.

Cup letters A, B, C and D are not fixed sizes
A cup letter only means something together with a band. A 30D and a 38D have very different cup volumes, because the cup grows with the band. That is why a 32D and a 34C hold about the same volume: they are sister sizes.

Frequently asked questions
How do I read a bra size chart?
Find your band size from your snug underbust in the first column. Then move along the row to the bust measurement nearest to yours and read the cup letter at the top of that column. Band plus cup letter is your size, for example 34C.
What does the number in a bra size mean?
The number is the band size. In US and UK sizes it is the underbust in inches rounded to an even number. In EU sizes it is in centimetres, in steps of 5. French sizes add 15 to the EU number, and Australian sizes use a smaller scale such as 10 or 12.
What do the letters A, B, C and D mean?
The letter is the cup. It shows how much bigger your bust is than your band: about one inch for A, two for B, three for C and four for D. The same letter is a bigger cup on a bigger band.
Is a D cup big?
Not necessarily. A D cup is a four-inch difference between bust and band, so a 30D is a fairly small cup and a 40D a much larger one. The letter alone says little about volume.
Is DD the same as E?
In US sizing, DD and E are usually treated as the same cup, the one after D. In UK sizing they are different: DD comes after D, and E is the next cup after DD.
Why are there two measurements per cell?
Each cell shows the bust measurement in inches and the same value converted to centimetres, rounded to whole numbers. Use whichever unit your tape shows.
