Bra Size Conversion

To convert a bra size, change the band and the cup separately. US and UK bands are the same, EU bands follow 30 = 65, 32 = 70, 34 = 75, French bands are EU plus 15 and Australian bands are UK minus 22. Cup letters match up to D, then the systems use different letters.

Convert a bra size

The converter needs JavaScript. The full conversion tables on this page work without it.

How to use it

  1. Choose the system your size comes from.
  2. Type the size, for example 34DD.
  3. Read the same size in the other systems.

Underbust ranges use the tape method on this site (band = underbust rounded to the nearest even inch). EU, French and AU columns are the label conversions used on most size charts.

Cup conversion

The cup letters follow the same order, but each system names the larger cups differently.

About Japanese and other sizes

Japanese, Korean and some other Asian sizes use their own band and cup rules, and brands from those countries publish their own charts. We have not included them because we could not confirm one reliable conversion. Use the brand’s chart with your measurements in centimetres.

Why converted sizes are a starting point

Sizes are not standardised between brands, countries or even styles from the same brand. A calculator gives you a good place to start; how the bra actually feels on your body decides.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a bra size?

Convert the band and cup separately. For a UK 34DD: the US band stays 34, the EU band is 75, French 90 and Australian 12. The cup DD is DD (or E) in the US, E in EU and French sizes, and DD in Australia.

What is a 34C in European sizes?

A US or UK 34C is a 75C in EU sizes, a 90C in French sizes and a 12C in Australian sizes. Cup letters A to D are the same in all of these systems.

Are US and UK bra sizes the same?

The band numbers are the same and so are the cups up to D. After D the letters split: the UK uses DD, E, F, FF, G, while the US typically uses DD/E, DDD/F, G, H. See the UK and US page for details.

What is the difference between EU and French sizes?

They use the same cup letters, but French bands are 15 higher. An EU 75B is a French 90B. Some Spanish and Belgian brands use French numbers as well, so check the label.

Why do Australian sizes have small numbers?

Australian and New Zealand bands use dress-size style numbers. A UK 32 band is an AU 10, a 34 is a 12 and a 36 is a 14. Cups use UK letters.

Can I convert Japanese bra sizes here?

Not yet. Japanese sizes use their own measuring rules and we have not found one conversion we can confirm. Measure in centimetres and use the brand’s own chart.
